a top iranian official told cnn that tehran has “no problem” pushing forward with peace talks, so long as iran is confident that the us side is being honest and sincere. the iranian official claimed the us had initially agreed to release iran’s frozen overseas assets “at the outset,” but tehran has so far observed no willingness from washington to do so.
azizi, who heads the iranian parliament’s national security and foreign policy committee, said it was tehran’s belief that us president donald trump is not being truthful amid the negotiations. “we consider negotiation to be part of the battle,” he said.
